The dazzling Darci Silver Dial MK3298 Women’s Watch by Michael Kors

Quarter Century! Yup, it was my 25^th birthday today. Can’t believe the years passed so fast – I know I still have my collection or Barbie dolls somewhere.

I woke up to the view of light drizzle of snow. To me, that meant my birthday was going to be special. Pampered girl that I was, the day grew lovelier by the minute with hugs, kisses and “happy birthday” messages flowing in every minute. As usual, it was my mom who first wished me a “Happy Birthday”. No gifts from her but her warmth and love radiated so strongly that no gifts were required.

Gifts as usual, came from my dad and today was no different. Like a magician, he produced a small gift-wrapped box with a flourish. I untied the bow knot on the ribbon and found within, a white coloured lovely box with “Micheal Kors” stencilled on top. At that point in time, I had no idea who or what Micheal Kors was.

I opened the box with an equal mix of trepidation and excitement. I knew my dad always gave me expensive gifts. Within the box, nestled on a silky white pillow, was an amazing and beautiful watch. Its dial was a lovely pearl-white upon which was mounted rose-gold toned hands. On the outer edge of the case, where beautiful diamond like crystals that sparkled and reflected every hue and colour. As I lifted the watch out of the box, I saw that the bracelet was stainless steel with two lines of gold links in the centre.

I opened my laptop and ‘Googled’ for “Micheal Kors”.

Michael Kors I found out, is a designer of luxury accessories and seems to have many awards to his name. He founded his company (also named Micheal Kors) 1981 and currently produces a range of products under his brand name. These products include handbags, footwear, watches, jewellery and all kinds of other stuff including a range of fragrances.

I also found that there were Michael Kors stores in almost all the prestigious cities in the world, including Milan, New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Dubai, Munich, Seoul, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Shanghai.

The more I read about Michael Kors, the more I realised that he had an eye for timeless chic and also an innate sense of glamour.

Coming back to the watch that was now parked besides my laptop, I opened the little leaflet that accompanied it and found that the Darci Silver Dial MK3298 women’s watch was a ‘quartz’ meaning, that it got its power from a battery. Being a quartz also meant that it would be accurate and with water resistance up to depths of 50 meters, I need not worry about my swimming sessions. My birthday was certainly turning out to be lovely.
